IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

1. ALL competitors will now have to register (MANDATORY) with the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Association. Kids and adults. Club memberships will not be mandatory at the moment.

It is very important to register before the tournament and have a proof of membership on you during the check-in process. There will be an OJA registration table but we highly recommend to do this prior to the event to prevent tournament delays.

2. ALL adult divisions will be SINGLE-ELIMINATION. Kids divisions will stay DOUBLE-ELIMINATION.

All weigh-ins will take place all day. Adult Competitors are expected to be checked-in, weighed-in, warmed up and ready to compete 1 hour prior to their scheduled division.

Competitors weigh-in WITH THE GI ON.

We tolerate a 1 pound allowance.

It is the athlete’s responsibility to be on weight and make sure they are registered in the correct weight division, rank, and team on the competitor list.
In the occurrence that an athlete cannot make weight, he/she should contact us immediately before the registration MODIFICATION/CORRECTION deadline (Wednesday before the tournament).

The day of the tournament, we will no longer accept registration corrections, athletes who fail to make weight will be disqualified with no refund.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE/HORAIRE

Be ready to compete 1 HOUR prior to your scheduled time.
Youth competitors should be arriving at the gym at around 7:30- 8:30 am to sign waivers, weighing in and begin warming up.

All Adult competitors (with the exception of Men Blue belts) should be arriving at the gym at around 8:30-11:00 am to begin weighing in.

There will be a 30 minute rules briefing at 9:00 am. Weigh in and the first matches will proceed immediately afterwards. Please be on Time.

9:30 am- All Youth matches and Men Black Belts Super-Fights

11:30 pm- Men Gi purples/browns

** Men purple absolutes commence immediately after their divisions are completed.

11:30 pm- All women Gi divisions followed by Women No-gi beginners and advanced.

12:30 pm- Men Gi white belt

12:30 pm- Men No-gi advanced

12:30 pm- Men No-gi intermediate

12:30 pm- Men No-gi beginners

** White belt absolutes and Men No-gi Advanced absolutes commence immediately after their divisions are completed.
Men Blue belts should start weighing in from 11am-12:00pm (although they can also weigh in early in the morning)

1:30 pm- Men Gi blue belt

** Blue belt absolutes and Men No-gi Beginners, Men No-gi Intermediate absolutes commence immediately after their divisions are completed

**All absolutes will begin immediately as soon as their respective division finishes- Only 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers qualify. **except for women. There will be no youth absolutes.

We are expecting to end at around 4pm.

Best case scenario- we will try to be 1 hour ahead if everybody works well together. Good Luck and have Fun!
